Get Care Now

Convenient and secure online care

What is an E-Visit?

Get the Scripps care you need — when you need it — with an online diagnosis through Scripps E-Visit.

E-Visits give you medical advice about minor problems (like a UTI or cold) without having to go to the doctor’s office. It’s the convenient, easy, secure way to communicate your symptoms and receive a detailed care plan from a Scripps provider, completely online.

E-Visits are free for Qualcomm Premier Plan members and are available to patients with a MyScripps account. It’s just one way to Get Care Now at Scripps.

How it works

Scripps E-Visit starts with an online health questionnaire. You answer some questions about your symptoms and can attach photos. Then, a Scripps provider reviews your information and sends back a written care plan. If necessary, prescriptions are sent electronically to your preferred pharmacy.

Responses to E-Visits are available Monday through Friday from 7 am to 7:30 pm, and on Saturday, Sunday and holidays from 8 am to 4:30 pm.

Access E-Visits through the MyScripps health portal. If you don’t have an account, sign up for MyScripps now.

To start an E-Visit, follow these easy steps:

1) Go to MyScripps

Scripps E-Visit is available on both MyScripps.org and the MyScripps mobile app. You can download the free MyScripps app from the iPhone App Store or Android Google Play Store

2) Select Messaging

Find it under the menu items, then pick Ask a Question. (Skip this step if you are using the app.)

3) Select Symptom-Specific E-Visit

Review and agree to terms and conditions, then confirm your payment information.

4) Enter the reason for this E-Visit

Confirm your preferred pharmacy, then answer a few questions about your symptoms and how you’re feeling.

Once you’ve entered this information, you’ll receive confirmation that it was received by our medical team. A Scripps provider will review your reported symptoms and health history, then get back to you through the MyScripps portal. Your treatment plan may include prescriptions or recommendations for follow-up care. Prescriptions can be electronically sent to your pharmacy.

Note: E-Visits are not appropriate for severe or life-threatening symptoms. If you need emergency care, call 9-1-1 or go to the nearest emergency room.
