It’s easy and convenient to schedule primary care appointments for the entire family, including Internal Medicine, Family Medicine and Pediatrics. You can schedule in-office appointments and video visits with your physician online using your desktop, tablet or mobile phone.

Scripps makes it convenient to schedule an appointment with a specialist, such as a dermatologist or gynecologist. Some specialists now offer online scheduling for in-office and video appointments.

While Qualcomm Premier Plan members do not need a referral to see a specialist to ensure Plan coverage, some specialists may require that you see your personal physician first for any new health concerns for the following reasons:

• Your personal physician will help identify the most suitable specialist for your situation and health needs. 
• Seeing your personal physician first can also ensure that any necessary imaging and lab tests are completed prior to seeing the specialist. This will help to avoid delays in care and ensure that the specialist has all the information they need to evaluate your condition at the time of your visit. 
• Additionally, seeing your personal physician can often eliminate the need for a specialist at all, as many conditions can be adequately treated by your personal physician. This may help reduce your out-of-pocket costs.

A team is ready to diagnose and treat you from the privacy of your home or other location (in California). It is not necessary to make an appointment. You will be assigned a provider based on availability at the time you begin your visit. 

Primary Care On-Demand Video Visit

If you are currently a primary care patient with Scripps Clinic or Scripps Coastal Medical Group, same-day On-Demand Video Visits are available with a physician, nurse practitioner or physician assistant. Simply login to MyScripps and select an On-Demand Video Visit with a primary care provider.

Scripps HealthExpress On-Demand Video Visit

Login to MyScripps and select an On-Demand Video Visit with a HealthExpress provider. HealthExpress On-Demand Video Visits are available with a nurse practitioner or physician assistant.

Go to urgent care for serious health needs that can’t wait. Use the On My Way feature to find the nearest urgent care location with a short wait time. By using On My Way, you will also complete some of the check-in process before arriving at the clinic.

Emergency

For life-threatening concerns, go immediately to the nearest ER or call 9-1-1.
